GC Intern

Sales position

MAK Construction is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Construction Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for sales and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate Sales Leads: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and cold calling.
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and Present Proposals: Collaborate with the project management team to develop comprehensive proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of MAK Construction's services.
  • Negotiate Contracts: Lead negotiations with clients to secure profitable contracts while ensuring alignment with company goals and standards.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

Construction Carpenter

Position Overview: As a Construction Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, contributing to the success of various projects from start to finish. From framing to finishing touches, you will use your expertise to ensure that each aspect of the construction process is executed with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and dedicated to delivering exceptional workmanship.Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the layout and materials required for each project.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall using hand and power tools.
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, countertops, molding, and trim.
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs, ensuring adherence to building codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper storage and disposal of materials and debris.
  • Adhere to project schedules and deadlines, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards on the job site, taking proactive measures to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related issues as they arise, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools, including hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Excellent mathematical skills, including the ability to perform measurements and calculations accurately.
  • Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques, technologies, and procedures in the construction field.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
